TVDE fleets in Portugal.

Frotis was born from a real frustration: watching TVDE operators lose hours every week on CSVs, spreadsheets and WhatsApp discussions — without ever having a clear picture of their business.

The problem we saw up close

In Portugal, there are more than 4,800 licensed TVDE operators. Most manage between 2 and 10 vehicles, employ drivers, work with Uber and Bolt simultaneously, and have specific tax obligations — including a VAT threshold of €15,500 per year that many people only discover when the letter from the tax authority arrives.

What do these businesses have in common? They manage everything in Excel. Trip data arrives in separate CSV files for each platform. They don't know which car is making money. Driver payments are calculated manually and communicated via WhatsApp. Reports for the accountant are prepared the night before, taking hours.

It's a sector with tens of millions of euros in movement, being managed with tools that were never built for it.

Why we built Frotis

Frotis was created by Robson Ataíde, an entrepreneur with experience in digital products and business management. Upon coming into contact with the TVDE sector, the realisation was immediate: there was enormous pain, an underserved market, and zero solutions designed specifically for this problem in Portugal.

The core idea is simple: a TVDE operator shouldn't need to know how to code, or have an accountant always on the phone, to understand whether the business is working. That data should be available in a clear, automatic and up-to-date way.

We started building Frotis in 2025, with an official launch planned for April 2026. Every feature was designed based on direct conversations with operators — about what they do today, where they lose time, and what they need to know to make better decisions.
